  • Euclidean vs. clock like angle

In the configuration center on the "Ruler" section, the choices for angles is Euclidean or Clock-like. What's the difference?

Euclidean puts 0° to the right with increasing angles counter-clockwise. Clock-like puts 0° straight up with increasing angles as named.

Thanks for the explanation! The angles seem to be the same either way. Why would a person choose one over the other?

The conventions are not the same... but you have to be predisposed to one versus the other for it to really matter. IMO, Euclidean is better suited for math geeks, while Clock-like is better suited to geospatial types.

Thanks Joe, Every time I install a new version of Canvas I go through the manual page by page. I've wondered that for a long time. I'll stick with the default - clock-like.
