  • Stripping embedded ACDSee metadata from exports

    Hi all,

I was wondering whether it is possible to strip ACDSee metadata on exported images (RAW) when the metadata was embedded into the XMP sidecar before. The behaviour of the "Preserve database information" in ACDSee as I could observe is as currently is as follows:

    1. If the metadata is not embedded into the XMP file, the exported image does not contain ACDSee Labels, Ratings, etc

    2. If the metadata IS embedded, the exported image will still contain all information

I know there is the "Preserve metadata" option as well, and if unset, all metadata is stripped from the exported image. But I want to retain the basic EXIF and IPTC data in the export.

Anyone knows how to accomplish that? I'm using Ultimate 2018.

    Cheers,
    Janto

For stripping meta data from exported images AC just offers crowbars. Since years I always export with all meta data and use exiftool as scalpel.
