  • How do you maximize size of saved photos?

I notice that when I use the 'Save as' option the size of the jpegs are much reduced from the original. When using the 'export' option the size is satisfactory as I have the option to nominate the image quality in 'options'.
Is there a way of increasing the output quality when 'Saving as'?

    Hello NoosaPete,

I have not seen a big difference:
    5183x3887x24b Pro 10 JPEG 15 045 055 octets for the "exported"
    5183x3887x24b Pro 10 JPEG 15 044 518 octets for the "saved as"

Maybe the slider (in your options) is not at "100%" ? There is the choice into the "options" when you are "saving as" : 100% = Best quality.

EDIT : I have just tried with the english trial version of Acdsee 2018 ("save as").
    5183x3887x24b Pro 10 JPEG 15 044 362 octets.

So, the difference is not significant, between the two ways to make a jpeg.
