  • Are the developers working on an update for Sierra???

I downloaded and installed the beta of OS Sierra and the usual ACDSee issue is there, of thumbnails and previews not showing up. The full release is on the 20th September, so am really hoping that this will be resolved quickly. I have no idea why its only ACDSee that has this problem each and every time, as all other browsers work fine. Perhaps the coding could be changed so that its more like other programs in respect of previewing images?

My ACDSee for Mac has the same problem after I have upgrade to macOS Sierra.
Wish the update pack be available soon.

Its always the same. You would think the developers (who don't seem to reply in this forum) would be aware of new OS releases and be working on updates, but going by previous updates it will obviously be weeks before its released. Meanwhile Mac users have a product that is rendered useless

I have emailed the Sierra compatible issue to ACDSee's customer service.
They replied my email and told me they have forwarded the issue to their technical people. However, I don't think the updates will be released shortly.

their technical people should have been working on it as soon as the betas arrived. Its not as they have a huge suite of programs they need to working on all the time. I get the feeling that the mac users are very much an afterthought, which is sad, given that it is such a useful product

My problem is, that I can't see my Olympus .ORF raw files after upgrading to OS Sierra.

I got the same problem... with the french version (I encountered a familiar issue I had since changing from Mountain Lion to Mavericks with every OS X upgrade)

I just don't get why every other browser works fine with each OS upgrade, but ACDSee doesn't. Surely previews aren't that difficult to generate....can't they duplicate the coding from others?

I noticed that ACDSee Pro doesn't display thumbnails anymore, which is kind of problematic. I also saw some weird errors using the batch tools. I rely upon this tool as part of my photography workflow, so I hope they update it...though I get the very real sense this is abandoned software, which is a real shame.

This is the reason I no longer use my Mac ACDSee Pro 3 software. I got tired of the great inconvenience each and every time Apple updated its software. Until the day comes that ACDSee shows some respect to their Mac program I won't be using it. And, it is a shame too, as I like the program and it has much potential but they seem to just ignore it. What a shame too.

Any photo I add just shows the generic thumbnail while older photos (before Sierra) are displayed. I remember having had the same problems a few years ago. Is there a workaround?

Edit: I just refreshed and now some of the folders just show blank thumbnails. "The Future Of Photo Editing & Management Has Arrived!" Without being able to see the photos?

Well, where is the beta??? Sierra has been out for a while now, so there will be a lot of users unable to use the current software
