Besides the slowness suddenly , I find the thumbnails too small and too low on the page.

I used the previous version of the beta and found thumbnail loading terribly slow, even on an 2017 iMac Retina 4k machine. If it remains that way I will not even bother with the new beta? Also, because of this slowness I never got into any real trials. I now understand that edits are destructive? If this is the case the software will not work for me.
