  • New laptop | Saving labels, ranking, face recognition, etc.

    Hi everyone!

I have been using ACDSee Professional for almost a year, and I have added hundreds of labels, ranking, face recognition, etc.

However, I will have to change my laptop in the next weeks, and I would really love saving my ranking, labels, etc.

Do you know any way I can move these data to my new computer?

    Thank you for your support.

    Best,
    Fabrizio

    Hi Fabrizio,

I recently answered this question here: https://forum.acdsee.com/forum/main-...base-to-new-pc

Basically, you will need to set your new computer up so that your photos are in the same file structure as in your old computer. The root folder can be wherever you want, but its subfolders should be organized in the same way. Then export your database from your old computer, and import it to your new computer.

    Thanks,
    Tristan H.

      Thank you!

I exported the database selecting all my folders. As soon as I get my new PC I would move my pictures (keeping the same folders' structure), and importing the file.

Moreover, I also embedded the information as written in this guide. https://acdsystems.desk.com/customer...other-computer

I hope all that would work!
