You can make a backup of the catalog in ACDSee (without the Thumbnails) and then restore the catalog. All informations will remain and the size on the disk is now much smaller.

reducing disk space used by thumb1.ftp file

    Hi, I have a question.

I noticed that two files in de ACDSee program folders take up a lot of disk space. Thumb1.ftp and Thumb2.ftp.
They are each several GB's and since I'm using an older computer it means my hard disk is now almost full .

How can I reduce the size of these files? And / or can I delete them?

If reducing / deleting these files means that ACDSee needs more time displaying the thumbnails when I open a folder, that would be okay for me.
However I don't want to lose any database information concerning categories and ratings.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!
