  • Shortcuts for external editors

ACDSee 10 Pro was the last version where I could define shortcuts for external editors.
Why was this feature removed? And why it didn't came back?
This feature is imported for me and whithout this feature it makes no sense for an update for me.

    Hello hor,

Please see the ACDSee 2021 Help File: https://help.acdsystems.com/en/acdse...4.htm#cshid=40

To Create a Shortcut to an External Editor:
    1. Choose Tools | Customize Shortcuts...
    2. In the Customize Shortcuts dialog box, choose Tools from the Category drop-down menu.
    3. From the Commands menu, select Default External Editor.
    4. Enter a shortcut key into the Enter new shortcut key field.
    5. Click Assign and close the dialog box.

Your new keyboard shortcut has been set.

    Regards,
    Mark

      Hi Mark
You misunderstand me. I've created some new external editors (e.g. PanoramaStudio, Affinity, ...) and I want to set shortcuts these new items - not change the shortcut of the default editor.
As I said, it was possible till AcdSee10Pro

Click image for larger version Name:	ACDSee Pro 10.png Views:	14 Size:	23.1 KB ID:	53664

and in the versions above the behaviour was removed. I can't understand why :-(
It was a little but powerful feature for my daily workflow within ACDSee

It's a pity, almost nobody cares.

          Hello,

Sorry for the delayed reply. I have spoken with the development team, and they will take a look at this issue in ACDSee 2021 Update 1.

The update is scheduled for release in January 2021.

          Regards,
          Mark
