For what it is worth, I have now obtained a HEIC photo taken with an iPad Pro (10.5")
The image is 4032 x 3024 (12.2MP), is 34.9MB uncompressed 24 bit color. The file size is 1.4MB.
It is showing correctly as a thumbnail in U2021, also in View mode, Develop Mode, and Edit Mode
It is likewise showing correctly in all modes in U2022.

ACDSee U2021 is reading heic image here OK, though I don't have any specifically from an IPad Pro to try.
Perhaps double check that the Heic Image Decoding Library plug in is installed (ID_HEIC.api) and ticked, and then try rebooting your PC.
The other suggestion is to try View->Reset Layout, and then a reboot.
Failing that, can you provide a link to one of the Heic images concerned.?

ACDSee 2021 No Longer Reading HEIC Photos from iPad
I am user of registered ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2021, Version 14. I am trying to open photo on my Windows10 x64 PC, made with IPAD Pro (version of 2017)
ACDSee no longer reads HEIC formatted photos in Windows 10. I receive the notice "The source data format is not recognized".
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I already have the HEIC plugin in c:\Program Files\ACD Systems\ACDSee Ultimate\14.0\PlugIns\, version is 2.0.79.0Last edited by gedonis; 12-02-2021, 07:39 PM.
