  • ACDSee Photo Studio Home: I have a problem with icons

Hi, I use ACDSee Ultimate 13.0 in my Notebook. Some days ago I have installed ACDSee Photo Studio Home v.25.0 (2022) in my PC, but I have a problem with icons. With the old version (notebook) when I open a folder with many pics, I saw small pics. Now when I open the same folder in my PC, I see only ACDSee icons without seeing pics. I attach 2 pics to understand better.
    This is of the Notebook:

    This is of the PC:

I'd like to see the images and not the icons.
Have I to configure anything in ACDSee?
    Thanks

First obvious suggestion -- Press F8. Changes View from Icons to Thumbnails.

Please, could you explain better? I don't understand. If I press F8 doesn't happen anything. When do I have to press F8? Thanks

This is an Explorer issue. This might help,

You are a great expert and I would like to ask you a question, just out of curiosity.
Every time I use ACDSee, its icon remains on the Toolbar at the bottom right. I can't remove it anymore, although I don't automatically load the ACDSee drivers at boot (no Auto Start). Can you please tell me how to make that icon disappear from the Toolbar?
            I attach a pic.

            Thank you

I don't actually have any AC Home version, but I guess this is the icon of the ACDSee Commander. It's used to index new files when your pc is idle and AFAIK also can start Mobile Sync to import photos from your mobile phone. If you don't need these features you may delete if from "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ru n" in your registry, or much simpler rename the file named "ACDSeeCommander*.exe" in your installation folder of AC. The precise name of the file depends on your version of AC. After renaming the file you may restart your pc or kill it in then task manager.

If you just want to hide the icon but keep the functionality, you might find stealth tools for the taskbar in the net. AFAIK W10 just offers to hide system functions.

I have a similar problem with ACDsee icons that I am not being able to show up as photo thumbnails again after installing photo studio Ultimnte 2023. No real solutions are given here in this forum. The Microsoft solution does not work here.FoxAdriano you solved it but wiothout telling us how! How?

FoxAdriano appears to have not been active on the forum for over 12 months so may not answer.

This thread was I believe originally about icons/thumbnails showing in File Explorer. Is that the same for you, or are you referring to icons instead of thumbnails in ACDSee 2023.
If it is the former then what is the operating system?.
If it is the latter then is it the case for all image formats or only some, and if only some, what exactly are they?
