The current Pro version has an option in the View Menu in Manage mode to "Reset Layout", which has been known to remedy a number of problems, but as far as I can see from the Pro 9 manual that version didn't have that option.

I have some doubt that it would solve this problem however, as from your screen shot it appears that ACDSee has stopped responding, and that could be for any number of reasons, including issues with.what ever operating system your are using, or interaction with other software..

1/. Does this only occur with this particular image, some images and not others, or all images?
2/. Has this issue just started to occur, and if so what changes occurred on the PC just prior to this?
3/. Have you tried rebooting your computer?.
4/. Have you tried Optimizing the database?
5/. If you have 3rd party antivirus, or anti malware have you tried either disabling them or at least white listing ACDSee in them.
6/. Have you looked at Windows Task Manager to see what is happening at the point where the "not responding occurs"?.
7/. Have you looked at Windows Event Viewer to see whether there are any significant events just before or at the time this issue occurs?
8/. Where are the images located. If on an external drive, have you tried copying some to a local drive and trying to open them in edit.

A worthwhile start to troubleshooting this issue might be to
    (a) Use DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) to check and repair if necessary the local Windows operating system image.
    (b) Use SFC (system File Checker) to check and repair any missing or corrupted system files

    Troubleshooting on Edit Mode

    Hi guys,
Here is my issue with ACDSee. I'm on Pro 9.1 (build 453). When I right-click an image and choose Edit, it gets me to the Edit Mode with no options available as before. This is a screenshot of what i receive:

What can I do to reset Edit Mode without needing to re-install the software?
