How do I preview what my cropped image will look like before committing to it?

In Develop mode, on the Geometry tab, you can hold down the E key while using the Crop tool to preview the image with a "lights out" effect. This means that the parts of the image that will be removed, should you proceed with cropping, will be blacked out, allowing you to see what it will look like.
