Issue with CUDA Conversions

Converting FLV files into any format using the CUDA option (RTX 2080 Super with 3K CUDA cores) The conversion is crazy fast and produces a video you can watch however when you skip forward or back the video gets messed up until you let it play a while. Any motion on the screen will refresh that part of the frame but the rest of the screen is heavily pixelated. This happens with any resolution options for output and I tried MP4 and the MOV output formats.

I did not test with other input formats yet.

Same video using CPU conversion works normally but is much, much slower.

I'm not seeing that here, converting FLV to MP4 using the CUDA option (GTX 1660 OC, with 1408 CUDA cores), using either the Slow or Fast option, and Max number of concurrent tasks set to 3. I use MPC-BE x64 v1653 as my video player.

I wonder whether it has to do with the format of the FLV source files and in particular whether they are CFR or VFR. The FLV files I have here are all Constant Frame Rate (CFR) 30 FPS.

Thanks for the research. I agree it probably has to do with the FLV format of the original video. I was using VLC player to view the video but I just tested with MPC-BE x64 v1653. (Cool program, thanks.) The converted video would play but when I skipped ahead the screen was black and never showed up. The audio played normally. If I went back to the beginning, it would play normally until I tried to skip ahead again. One other thing to note is that the Windows generated thumbnail is also messed up.



First attachment is the Original file, second is the CUDA conversion and third is the CPU conversion. The original file plays at 25 fps and the converted show 30 fps. All of them show a constant frame rate. It looks like the reference frames are difference in all three of the files.
