Gemstone vs "Edit" in Studio Ultimate

Can someone tell me what the Gemstone does that Studio Ultimate 2022 cannot do in its "Edit" part? Will the "Edit" module follow the evolution of Gemstone or will it be deprecated in 2023 edition?
