  • ACDSee crashes when updating IPTC Core data on PNG files.

Yesterday, I was organizing some directories that did not contain any IPTC Core data. I wanted meta data with "title" "headline" "description" "description writer" and "keywords". These directories have files with .HEIC, .JPG AND .PNG extensions. Some directories are mixes of the 3 some are only HEIC and JPG.

When I select all in a directory, can be 2 or up to 389 images if they are only JPG, HEIC or a mix of the 2 no issues.
If they include a PNG or are a singe PNG the entire application crashes every time.

So after going through that last night I decided to reset my NVRAM on my MacBook pro just to see if it could help.
Today I proceeded to do same as last night and even though reset the NVRAM it continues to happen.

    macOS Big Sur
    11.6.1
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
    2.9 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
    8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

I work directly on my system drive which is a SSD ! TB with half the drive of free space.

I haven't had crashing problems with anything until now.

Working...
