All the above and after 6+ years of asking and commenting, you still can't time stamp earlier than the year 1900..What's so hard about that? I won't go to any new versions until that gets fixed.

No support for viewing photos and .mov in the View tab. This should be a basic functionality. Any import form phone will import both into the same folder.
No easy way to group images by size. E.g importing from a phone will include all < 100kb images from WhatsApp. Would be good to easily find and remove those images.
No OneDrive 'online only' support. ACDSee blindly starts downloading all images in the OneDrive picture folder (my main folder), even if the files are marked as online only ('Free Up Space')

I use ACDSee only for photo organizing, not editing, so unfortunately no reason for me to upgrade.
Sadly, the only significant feature I have been asking for was NOT included in this upgrade. I too use it only for organizing, and have been asking for the same thumbnail capability for videos that is in the Windows version (4 pics in the thumbnail) for years. Have been an ACDsee on mac user for a very long time, and have been disappointed in it for all that time. This release is no different.

Even if I don't use so much Acdsee for Mac, I upgraded it today V7 > V8. V7 was localized in french (I'm french !), 8 is in english (I guess localizations come later). No many improvements V7/V8, many lakes (layers is the biggest one), compare Windows & Mac versions show all the work remaining for Mac). In my opinion, for Mac users ON1 PhotoRaw is the winner (I use it for 3 years now), even if as any photo software it has many issues too; Capture 1 and DxO, too expensive no geotags/maps or limited DAM, Exposure 7 and PhotoMechanic too expensive and many lacks too. Acdsee for quick culling and map feature allowing to display various photos from a folder, not all the geotagged photos (as in Apple Photos) nor only one as in ON1.
    Regards.
