  • Remove GPS Information in Version 9

Hello, I have version 8 for the Mac and Version 2021 for the PC. I am considering upgrading to version 9 for the Mac now that it supports HEIC and editing of metadata.
My question is: does version 9 for the Mac allow removal of location/GPS information from the photos?
    Thanks,

I'm not a Mac user, however here is an extract from the Photo Studio 9 Mac User Guide.

      Hello,
Thanks, I saw these new feature was added but it does not include the Location/GPS data. I know that it works on the PC but so far not in version 8 for the Mac.
I believe that the GPS information may be a unique type of metadata.

In the excerpt I posted, it does include "Location" in the example of what it will remove..

GPS coordinates are normally in EXIF metadata. The actual address details (reverse geocode) are generally saved to IPTC. So removal of EXIF and IPTC should remove all of the location information.

But perhaps you want to remove only the GPS co-ordinates, and not the rest of the EXIF metadata.

You could ask Customer Support at https://www.acdsee.com/en/support/form/ , or perhaps just take advantage of the free trial period and determine whether it does what your need.
