  • Change Time Stamp error message

After doing a Batch Time Stamp change I repeatedly get the following error message:

Error: The item could not be edited because you do not have sufficient access privileges or destination volume is no longer available. To view or change access privileges, select the item in Finder and choose File > Get Info or check the destination volume.

    /Volumes/Samsung_T5/FishCat2019June/Sangalaki 040.JPG,

Checking the file is ok with read/write.
Time stamp appears to have changed back to Exif date though.
    What is going wrong here?

    Hi Hans,

    May I ask some questions:
    1) Which version of ACDSee Mac are you using?
    2) To confirm, is the external drive connected to the Mac?
    3) Is it possible the file is Locked?
    4) Was the image developed in the Windows version of ACDSee?

    Regards,
    David

        Hi Hans,

        Thank you for the replies.
I suspect the original copy of your image (located in a hidden subfolder named [Originals]) is set to read-only.
As a workaround, please try changing its permission to read-write via Finder.

        Regards,
        David
