Just selected 9 files which showed the "Embed Pending" icon. Then I use the "Tools>Metadata>Embed ACDSee Metadata in Selected Files" function. The process worked through all 9 files and ended with 8 files completed and the error message "File can not be decoded." for the ninth file. The 8 completed files were automatically de-selected, while the 9th file was still selected. So I simply re entered the "Tools>Metadata>Embed ACDSee Metadata in Selected Files" function and to my surprise, that last picture was handled and completed, the "Embed ACDSee Metadata" icon disappeared, and the picture was no longer "selected". "Strange application behavior" if you ask me.
