As far as I know the previous version was Pro 3 and this one is Pro 4 so I am not sure what you are referring to as the "name change".

What was the purpose of the name change for the new release? Is there no possible direction and future for MAC users to look forward to?

Hello,
There will be no further public beta's with ACDSee version 4. The next possible public beta will be version 5.0 for the full release of version 5.0. When and if, to be determined. But, I would expect sometime in 2018.
Thank you
Mark

I do not mean to be "picky" but do you mean that the public beta will be on the Pro 4 base prior to the release of 5? Or on the 5 base after the release of 5 and prior to the release of 6?
I ask because the last public beta was on the 3 base prior to the release of 4 so when I asked if there was to be a public beta on 4 I meant on the 4 base prior to the release of 5.

Hello,
We have no plan to continue the public beta for ACDSee 4.0 for Mac. The next planned public beta will be for version 5.
Regards,
Mark

A question
I was wondering if ACDSee had any intention of continuing their public beta policy with new beta releases for Pro 4.
Obviously this question is directed toward those involved in the maintenance and updating of the Mac Pro 4 release.
