  • Upgraded to V8, what's with the menu icon?

Now I've upgraded to V8 there is a new ACDSee icon in the menu bar that I can't remove.
It also autostarts ACDSee mobile sync that I don't use.
There's also ACDSee Commander running at all times that I cannot stop running.
How can I get rid of the icon and stop mobile sync and other unneeded apps auto starting at each login ?
    Thanks

    Hi mcam,

To remove the icon from the menu bar, open ACDSee Preferences, and in the General tab, uncheck Show icon in menu bar.

Thank you David, I did that but it keeps coming back again after a restart.
It also keeps restarting ACDSee Mobile Sync and the ACDSee Commander

It shouldn't come back even if you restart your machine. To confirm, you uncheck the "Show icon in menu bar" preference, then restart your machine, and the menu bar icon reappears? Are there any additional steps or anything special about your environment needed to reproduce this?

        This is the expected behavior.

Thank you David - upgrading seems to clear whatever was keeping it there.
I figured out I could rename the file to stop commander from running all the time
