Bulk Face Detection removal/correction

I've just started with Face Detection in Ultimate and whilst I can it does improve over time as you specify/correct individual entries, it still struggles with the suggestions, particularly in large family/school/crowd scenes where so many of the subjects have not been identified.

I've been using the People Catalog view in Manage mode to find photos that have been tagged/suggested for individuals.

What I was looking for is a way to easily select multiple photos from the thumbnail view and have the suggested name either removed or corrected in bulk.
As an example I may tag an individual as Fred Smith, yet in the Fred Smith suggested view I may see a whole bunch of photos that I can easily tell from the thumbnail that it's not Fred. Rather than going into each photo to correct the entry, I'd like to bulk select the photos and remove Fred's name suggestion.

Is this possible?

Also, is it possible to remove face detection data from a folder or sub-folders? I let Face Detection run free, and it went through a whole bunch of sporting club and school photos which have hundreds of faces that I'm not interested in naming. But now they have Face Detection data, and in numerous cases Suggested Names that I would like to remove. Again, it would need to be done in bulk, as there's too many individual files to go through.

You can remove all face detection data from selected files in Manage mode with Tools > Face Detection > Remove Faces.

One thing you can try if you are using the Catalog pane to search for individual people, and then looking for suggested names in the results, is to limit the search to suggested names only. If you click the gear icon on the People section, there is an option to switch people searches to "Suggested names". This option is also available in Tools > Options > Face Search, and it affects searches done in the Catalog pane, Quick Search, and Search pane.

At the bottom of the Catalog pane, there is also an item in Special Items, "Suggested Names", which will return all images in the database with at least one suggestion.

Is there an option (or can it be considered for the future) for this option not to necessarily remove all face data, but just a selected name.

As an example, I do use the "Suggested names" option in the Catalog pane. I may click on "Fred Smith", see all the suggested photos. I'd like to just remove the suggested name for Fred, not remove all the face detection details as there may be other people in the photos that are correct (or yet to be checked).
An alternative would be to allow the switching/correcting of selected entries eg. change Fred to Jim for selected photos where the suggested names are wrong.

Unfortunately that isn't possible at this time. In the current version of ACDSee you can only interact with faces in View mode. Thank you for the feedback though, those are some interesting ideas, and I will pass them on to the ACDSee product team for consideration in future updates or versions.
