ACDSee PS Utimate - way to enlarge icons for older eyes?
Here's a screen capture of the area at the top of an Edit mode window. I can't find a name for the row of icons, so it's hard to refer to it! I'll call it "edit tool icons".
My eyes are getting older, and it is hard for me to effectively scan and recognize the icons (whose identity and functions I already know). Is there any way to enlarge just that row of icons? I recognize that doing so might entail going to two rows, but that would be acceptable. (To me, anyway.) It would be great to have a set of "accessibility" options that could be used to control functionality like that I'm suggesting -- that way users not needing the options needn't be bothered with them.
You can customize the Edit Toolbars in U2022 (that is the only one I've tried this on - the options may have been in other versions.
It doesn't alter the icon size, but it may help, as adding the text also spreads the buttons out. In the above screen shots, I've moved the three toolbars (Tools, Filters and Actions) into 3 individual lines at the top.
Unfortunately that does reduce the available screen space to display the image you are editing.
You can also float the individual tool bars, and if you have a second monitor, place them on that, which gives you more space for your image.
As you say, Greyfox, displaying the 3 toolbars one below the other reduces the display area for the picture, especially by displaying the name of each tool.
I got around this by only displaying the tool names of the bars I use frequently (Tools and Filters) and only showing the icons for the Actions bar. My screen is 2560 pixels wide:

It would have been nice if one could take one or all of the three toolbars with the tool names showing and dock them vertically against the left side of the Edit screen, with the filter pane turned off. Even with Toolbars in the form I showed in my previous post, they would not take up much more room than the filter pane does.
Unfortunately docking them there turns off the tool names and if left floating then they are inside of the ruler display which is not always convenient.
