Provide an option in the dialog to save the current setting as default. This was the way the legacy ACDSee does.

    See https://forum.acdsee.com/forum/main-...naming-in-2021 for some background.

It may be that ACDSee consider the current U2022 arrangement would suit more users than having it open with the last used template, as was the case in U2021

If there are people who always want default, then give us an option to choose a behavior please.
It's likely that whatever the default is, it won't suit everyone, but the flexibility could be improved by allowing the default to be overwritten (as one can do in the Export dialog).

Oops You are correct. I didn't realize you can't overwrite the default. You can write a custom preset, but unless you select "Last used settings", or your custom preset on the way in (in which case it does the rename on what ever settings were last used or whatever applied in your custom preset) the dialog always opens with the default preset selected. So it's only marginally quicker to select the preset than it is to select the case change box and select Extension: Lowercase.

This is a change from the way it worked in U2021, but I do recall there being complaints about the U2021 rename so perhaps this is the result of the fix..

"Older version" and "new version" isn't specific, and it also could be Home, Pro, or Ultimate , but if "new version" is ACDsee Ultimate 2022, is this what you are looking for? Remember the save as Default

I always change the extension to lowercase. In the older version, the option is remembered. In the new version, Default is always loaded and I can't seem to find ways to change the Default to make extension the lower case.

    How can I do it?

    Thanks
