  • Auto Save

Hi all, is there a way to get the Ultimate 2021 version to auto save in Edit mode to .acdc format please? I have the Edit Auto Save option set in the options and it auto saves fine when in Develop mode but I would like the Edit mode to always save in acdc format when I exit rather than always having to press the "save as" button when the pop up asks etc etc each time I exit, most annoying lol.
    Thanks all

I believe the answer is NO.

There is an "AutoSave all changes" option in Tools\Options\Edit Mode (as well as the "Autosave all Develop mode adjustments" in Tools\Options\Develop Mode).
The option in Edit mode according to the help file "Toggles AutoSave on and off. AutoSave saves your changes in Edit mode automatically, without prompting the Save Changes dialog".

It does add that Autosave doesn't apply to RAW images.

My experience is that when this option is enabled for Edit Mode and you make a change to the image and then press Done, or move to another image in the film strip, or return to Manage Mode, it will save the changes to the source image (without bringing up the "Save, Save As" dialog), and in the case of a JPG for instance will place a copy of the original in [Originals] so "Restore to Original": could be subsequently used..

    HOWEVER.

That only applies where the change does NOT include the addition of layers, and also the Autosave is in the original format, and there is no provision AFAIK to change it to Autosave to an.ACDC format file...
