Ultimate 2023: Focus Stacking Bug?

Had a very odd thing just now and would love it if someone could confirm before I report this to Support.

Recipe:

1. Select a group of images and evoke focus stacking.
2. In Options, change the output folder.
3. OK and merge - the stacked image appears in the destination folder.
4. Select another group of images and try to merge WITHOUT opening the Options dialog.
5. The process completes, but no image is created.
6. Select the same (second) group of images and merge, but go into Options and reselect the output folder.
7. The process completes and the stacked image appears in the output folder.

I would not have expected to have to reconfirm the folder in Options between stacks. Can anyone reproduce this?

Yepp, same here. Except line 6:

6. Evoke merge again, go into options and press OK (don't Cancel, reselect not needed)

So the issue I am outlining is the same for you: no stacked image is produced unless you go into the Options dialog each time - correct?
