  • Extract metadata from a selection of images into a txt format spreadsheet?

With Photo Studio is it possible to extract metadata from a selection of images into a txt format spreadsheet to show fields with captions, dates, keywords, headlines, etc? - I can do this with ease on good ol' MediaPro on my old computer but that is coming to the end of its life.

Maybe this will do what you want, but note that it provides ACDSee metadata, not IPTC..

1/. In Manage mode, select one or more images
2/. From the Tools menu, select Database, then Export then Database
3/. In the ACDSee Database Export Wizard opening screen click on Next
4/. In the content and format options change the radio button to the third item " Export database Information to a Text File", then tick only the first box "Include Database Information for selected items", then click on Next

Click image for larger version Name:	Content and format.jpg Views:	0 Size:	77.4 KB ID:	63024

5/. In the next dialog select the destination and a name for the text file, then click on next
6/. You will then see a summary - if it is OK, click on next, otherwise click on Back or Cancel
7/. When you see "Export Database Complete" click on finish.

For the selected items, the text file will contain File details, Database Date, Caption, Author, Notes, Keywords, and Categories
You will have to parse the text information into your spread sheet

In details view of manage mode, enable all columns you need and press CTRL-G.

      [Edit]
This answer does not meet the request. CTRL-G will create a list for all currently listed items, not only the selected ones.
You might add the selected items to a selection basket and use CTRL-G on the basket.

Thanks Emil, that is a better suggestion than mine, and can include IPTC.
