  • Acdsee not responding etc

Is anyone else having problems with Ultimate 2023 not responding, suddenly closing in the middle of doing something. I have the calendar on photo calendar and when I click on the photo , instead of opening the photo it goes to the calander day mode, plus other random things are happening which are really frustrating. This has just started in the last week or so. Do I need to uninstall then reinstall the program again?

In normal use I've only had ACDSee Ultimate 2023 become unresponsive a couple of times, and at the time I've put it down to interaction with other software I've been using at the same time, but because it has been so infrequent I haven't tried to pin it down to specific applications or combinations of applications. If you are using a third party antivirus it might be worth reading this https://forum.acdsee.com/forum/main-...virus-software

That isn't happening here. Manage mode, with Calendar pane set to Photo Calendar, when I click on the tiny photo shown for a particular day, the thumbnails for all the photos taken on that day show in the center file list section.

Perhaps check whether there are a lot of orphan files and folders in the database (Dashboard, Database tab) and if there are use the options Tools/Database/Database Maintenance and Tools/Database/Optimize Database to try to clean it up. Make sure you have any external drives that are used connected and running before you do that.

Thanks for your reply . I think I have fixed it, I replaced my bluetooth mouse and did a firmware update on my laptop. So far everything is working as it should.
