  • Changing what shows in Folder Pane

My folder pane shows 8 locations but I only use 2 of them (This PC and Favorites). Is it possible to remove the 6 I never use ? I am happy to edit the registry if that is the way.

I don't believe so, it's how your system is set up, but you certainly should exclude any locations you don't want indexed by ACDSee.

In manage mode the folder pane shows all folders that are currently available to your PC. If you mainly work with only a specific few folders, then I suggest you create a shortcut to each of them, and then use the short cut pane instead of the folder pane. The folder pane will still be available (via its tab) should you need to use it. You can make the Short Cut pane visible from the Panes menu, and you can create a shortcut by right clicking on a folder and selecting "Add to Shortcuts"

Very good idea - works perfectly.
