  • Last frame black

When rendering a video, the last frame is always black. I would prefer, however, that the last image freezes and remains visible. Is there a way to achieve this?

    Hi Hurtz,

There is a workaround to this, but it requires a little bit of work. The general idea is to create a selection of the project of everything excluding the last frame. This can be accomplished by:

    1) Remove any current timeline selection you have
    2) Move the play-head to the very end of the project (Ctrl + End)
    3) Click the "Previous Frame" button (Ctrl + Left)
    4) Click and drag on the left side of the play-head to the very beginning of the file. You should now have a timeline selection of everything minus the very last frame.
    5) Right-click in the timeline where your selection is. In the context menu, select "Produce Timeline Selection as..."
    6) Continue through the Production Assistant dialog as desired.

Following these steps, the last frame in the produced video will be of a still image and not of the background color.

    Thanks,

Thanks a lot - this was my thinking, too, but I didn't know the ctrl-left command, so I always lost too many frames at the end.

Maybe you should consider implementing an option for this in the next release:-)
