Drag and Drop to track

I was working on a project and had both Video Studio 4 open and Windows File Explorer open because I was looking for an image. Without thinking, when I found the image I wanted in Explorer I just dragged it across onto a VS track and it appeared. I've looked in the manual and it says you have to add to media and then to the track, no mention of being able to drag and drop. When I looked, the image was also showing in Media without me having gone through the add procedure.

Has anyone been using drag and drop to add to tracks? If so, have you encountered any problems with the project later on?
