  • How to set a default directory for photos.

I went from a much older version of ACDSee to ACDSee Pro 8.
My default directory for images is on a drive on another computer's drive on my LAN.

How do I make that the default image location instead of having to navigate my way there?
    Thanks

You could use the preferences, or the Quickstart Guide (Help > Quickstart Guide) in version Pro 7 to set the start-up folder. Hope, this hasn't changed in version Pro 8.

Thanks, I managed to set the default location with the Quickstart guide, but couldn't find preferences, where is it?

Tools -> Options -> Manage Mode

At the top of this dialog you can choose the default location, navigate to a new default folder or choose "Remember from previous session"
