Using 2019, but this was also an issue in ACDSee 2018, I just never filed a report.

Tools -> Database -> Excluded folders settings let you choose which folders aren't included in the database. I set this to exclude my c:\ and d:\ drives about a month ago since they get transitory pics, no point in wasting time and space on them (F: drive has the permanent stuff).

Today I checked the excluded folders settings and it was completely blank - it had forgotten every excluded folder setting and had accumulated 3051 thumbnails for long moved or deleted photos - which required 20 minutes waiting for Database Maintenance to 'collect and summarize Database Information' to remove.

Based on my 2018 experience, this happened at least once a month, possibly more. Is there any way to make Excluded Folders settings stick?
