Photo Studio Home 2023: Suddenly hangs when switching from view into edit mode

When I double click on an image, I get into the view mode of ACDSee. When I then click on the edit function, a new window opens but it remains empty (no image) and does not change again. You have to right-click on the taskbar to select "close window" and it will close and present an error message:






However, if I switch from Quick View to Manage first, select the image there and then select Edit then, it opens just fine.

I tried to un-install and re-install, it did not help. I'm also not aware of any updates of the software.

It happens with any picture in any file location

I suggest you open a support request at https://www.acdsee.com/en/support/form/, and provide Support with the details of your PC, the version and.build number of your Windows operating system, details of where your collection is located (local drive, external USB drive, Network drive, etc), and where your database is located (default location or custom user location). Also include whether the problem occurs with a particular type of image, or all images.

If you are using a 3rd party Antivirus you could try either white listing ACDSee in it. See https://forum.acdsee.com/forum/main-...virus-software.
