people separated by database

I created a separate database for people from a society I've been visiting for many years. When I change to people mode, all my uncles and aunts also show up there as well ! Is there a way to completely separate the 2 collections ?

I also don't know how to keep the start folder for each database separated.

If you have created a truly "separate database" for each (one for the society and one for the family) then only the entries the currently selected database would show. But that means you would have created two completely independent databases, and you would need to use File/Database/Open each time you wanted to change databases, and ACDSee would then close and reopen on the selected database, or alternatively you could have created shortcuts (command line switches) to start ACDSee on each of the particular databases

I suspect that isn't the case, and you are only using a single database, and perhaps have a number of "collections". People mode even in the Ultimate 2023 version does not have the ability to filter by collection.

Found it ! When I created a new database, Norton security was preventing something, what I used to ignore. I don't know what it was, but I allowed Norton to join in and when I now go to people mode, in the left pane, I only see the folders I've indicated. No more aunts and uncles showing up !!
