    Does AC work on Linux?

  • #2
There's no native Linux version, however we have a few installations of AC in virtual boxes running W10 on Linux Mint hosts performing pretty well. We actually plan to replace all W7 machines with Linux and will need to run AC on theses machines.

I've been running ACDsee in Oracle's VirtualBox since this time last year ( Aug.2018). It works quite well.

I think they have ACDsee for Mac -- that shouldn't be too hard to port to the MINT environment -- where it should run on Ubuntu, or MINT, or any Debian based Dist.
(I run mine in straight Debian ).

AC for Linux indeed is a great idea. But when looking at AC for MAC, I guess it takes a century to have AC Pro/Ultimate for Linux finished.
