iPhones : Transfer photos to ACDSEE Studio

Is it possible to transfer photos from an iPhone to ACDSEE Studio ?
I would like to be able to do this in much the same way that Import from a Device works ,--

If this is possible ( I think it is ) then what do I need to do it ?? My iPhone expertise is just about zilch

Although possible, in practice it doesn't work. When trying to import from iPhone 7+, the application (ACDSEE Photo Studio) always/consistently crashes.

It seems only certain privileged programs are allowed to read photos off the iPhone. I had good luck using MSFT/Photos to do it, and then importing to ACDSee using the "from disc" dialog
