Photo Studio - Tip to view all images of a main folder, including all subfolders

When viewing folders that contain images only in further subfolders, you can't see the images unless you click each subfolder. This is unlike digiKam product where all images of folders and subfolders would be visible, and I sometimes have to switch to digiKam for this feature. I thought of one workaround in ACDSee. From one folder, I can do a search of all images with a blank search string and all the images under that folder will be collected and presented in the view. Now, I know better .

There are actually a couple of other ways to do the same thing, that I think you will find very handy and maybe even more flexible

1. When in manage mode you can;
   1. Select all desired folder(s) to view;
      1. click on the FOLDERS tab
         1. you will see each folder on your drives available
      2. click the 'flag' icon (icon in far left of list) for each folder you want to view (see image 1 below)
         1. you will now see in your image area that each folders files are now being presented. The benefit being if you have a structured folder list, you can exclude any folders you want within the group as well.
   2. Select files by date(s) to view;
      1. click the CALENDER tab
         1. The first option you have for selecting the dates you want is a drop-down that allows different filtering of dates for selection;
            1. Events view - allows selection by event
            2. Year view - can select an entire year of pictures or any month within the year
            3. Month view - can select an entire months of pictures or any day(s) within the month, ctrl-click for multiple months and any combination of days
            4. Day view - can select an entire day or any hour(s) within the day, ctrl-click for multiple days and any combinations of hours on other days
            5. Photo calendar view - a monthly calendar graphical view similar to the month views capability in item 3 above.

Another option in the 2023 versions. Using the advanced search, folders tab, you can sync to the parent folder, set to include subfolders and for criteria choose File Properties\size and set for greater than say 10 bytes. That will show the files in both the parent folder and all its sub-folders that are larger than the amount you chose..

Using 2021. Click on the parent folder in manage mode, it will show all the sub folder icons. Press F3 (Search) it will place the parent folder directory path/name in the search panel (in any of the following folders) section, then press start to display them all, that's the fastest way I have found
