  • Not able to work under Develop mode

hi, I got some very basic problems: under develop mode , I am no more longer able to view on my screen , both photo AND the tool list. I get the picture OR the menu with list of tools.
I guess I have selected some option by typing on some keyboard just by chance.
Now I'm unable to reset , where I was some days ago. That is very boring

    I joined a file with print-screen
    Thanks for your help

You might try : tools/options/reset to defaults button (bottom left).

I can get almost the same Develop mode layout as in your post, and as shown in the screen shot below, except that in my ACDSee Ultimate 2023 version, only one of the Develop tools shown can be open at a time. Opening another closes the previously open one. The screen shot posted here shows the result of closing all but the Develop Tools pane, and then docking that pane to the top vertical docking icon.

As brajaq has indicated, going to the View menu in Manage Mode and using the "Reset Layout" (my translator says that is "Réinitialiser la mise en page" in French) can often fix that issue. It did return the layout in my screen shot to the default layout, but if that isn't working for you perhaps try the following

In Develop Mode, in the Panes menu, un-tick any panes ticked except Develop Tools. then put your mouse cursor on the Develop Tools tab (where it shows "utils de developpement" in your screen shot, press and hold down the left mouse key, and drag the tab down onto the left docking icon (at that point an area of the screen will show light blue), then release the mouse key. The first screen shot below shows it part way towards the left docking icon and the second shot when the cursor is on top of the docking icon, and the third with the Develop tools docked on the left..

You should then be able to position the cursor on the right edge of the tool panel and when it changes to two parallel vertical lines with arrows pointing both left and right, drag the right hand edge to the left to set the width of the tool pane.

If that works, then progressively add in any other panes you want by ticking then in the Panes menu.

        Hoping that helps.

Hi, I fixed my problem by resetting the layout.

The ACD technical support told me :
          ""
You can try to fix this problem directly in the program by resetting the settings. In Manage mode, go to the top left:

          View > Reset Layout ""

          Thanks every body.
